NATURALISME

Naturalisme di dalam seni rupa adalah usaha menampilkan objek realistis dengan penekanan seting alam. Hal ini merupakan pendalaman labih lanjut dari gerakan realisme pada abad 19 sebagai reaksi atas kemapanan romantisme.

Salah satu perupa naturalisme di Amerika adalah William Bliss Baker, yang lukisan pemandangannya dianggap lukisan realis terbaik dari gerakan ini. Salah satu bagian penting dari gerakan naturalis adalah pandangan Darwinisme mengenai hidup dan kerusakan yang telah ditimbulkan manusia terhadap alam.

Naturalisme melukiskan segala sesuatu sesuai dengan nature atau alam nyata, artinya disesuaikan dengan tangkapan mata kita. Basuki Abdullah melukis seorang perawan desa dengan pakaian lusuh justru tampak seperti bidadari. Tokoh Natularisme di Indonesia selain Basuki Abdullah adalah Raden Saleh. Saat ini semisal Choirun Sholeh.

The Wall

Dream Theater

Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung, and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They subsequently dropped out of their studies to concentrate further on the band that would ultimately become Dream Theater. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remained together along with James LaBrie and Jordan Rudess until September 8, 2010, when Portnoy left the band. In October 2010, the band held auditions for a drummer to replace Portnoy. Mike Mangini was announced as the new permanent drummer on April 29, 2011.

The Carpenters

The Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo consisting of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter. Producing a distinctively soft musical style, they became one of the best-selling music artists of all time. During their 14-year career, The Carpenters recorded 11 albums, 31 singles, five television specials, and a short-lived television series. Their career ended in 1983 by Karen's death from heart failure brought on by complications of anorexia. Extensive news coverage surrounding the circumstances of her death increased public awareness of eating disorders.

It existed (with a few interruptions) from 1964 until 1985 and had its most successful period from 1968 until 1975.

Joan Baez

Joan Chandos Baez (/baɪz/;born January 9, 1941) is an American folk singer, songwriter, musician, and activist whose contemporary folk music often includes songs of protest or social justice. Baez has performed publicly for over 55 years, releasing over 30 albums. Fluent in Spanish and English, she has recorded songs in at least six other languages. She is regarded as a folk singer, although her music has diversified since the counterculture days of the 1960s and now encompasses everything from folk rock and pop to country and gospel music.
